Are you building a professional network?


It is common knowledge that we reach our greatest success through our relationships with others. That is why it is vitally important to build professional relationships and maintain them in an effective manner that will help sustain your network. However, it's just as important to build networks that will support others, as well. Here are five (5) ways to build a strong professional network: 1. Speak or Write. Take every opportunity to speak to local and national organizations and groups. Also, write share your expertise by writing articles for local and professional organizations and periodicals. 2. Participate. Become a member of other professional groups and organizations by joining and participating in their events and activities. This is a great way to network with others in the same industry or job field. 3. Publish. Take the time to publish your work in articles and e-articles to communicate and share your passion with others. Identify e-zines and publications that will welome your submissions. 4. Create. Don't discount the value of creating your own physical or virtual publication or organization. There's no better way to communicate or share your information. 5. Volunteer. This is a great way to make an impact within your community and establish new professional networks. Always remember to continuously make new connections to maintain and build upon your network.
